Yellow has always been associated with summer and the heat, definitely not the typical winter pallet. However, this year yellow is making a autumn appearance in all clothing pieces.
Looking at the new in high-street clothes it would appear yellow fits perfectly into winter in a bizarre way. After all, why limit certain colours to specific times of year? Whilst mustard is a typical autumnal colour, bright yellow is new this year and I love it.
Here are some of my favourite yellow pieces from high-street stores. Yellow may be a scary colour too some but I think a statement yellow piece doesn’t hurt anyone. Either go all out or a subtle hint, you will look so cute and on trend. That is why I have included a range for everyone.
- Primark
I am definitely a Primark lover. These pieces are absolutely perfect. Either a bright yellow jumper for those who love a bright, splash of colour or a more subtle touch of yellow in a simple stripe jeans or yellow piping on a jumper. I love he subtle yellow more personally. I have the yellow check jumpsuit from Primark (same print as the trousers on the model) and I love the yellow detail.
2. Topshop.
Whilst this skirt is not for the faint hearted I do think this is easily an autumn piece. Check print is also making an appearance this autumn so a two in one piece is perfect.
3. Boohoo.
A more affordable brand than Topshop, try Boohoo. These wide leg trousers are available in multiple colours and are only £!2! On a night out, these trousers will be perfect, a little more covered up but still dressed up with heals.
3. I Saw It First.
This is an upcoming brand and I have already ordered from here and was pleasantly surprised. They do this bum bag in yellow leopard print which, as well as being ideal for festivals it will be ideal for a night out! Just a subtle hint of yellow in your accessories will be a good starting point to wearing yellow.
4. New Look.
I am a huge fan of this jumpsuit. How nice would this look with a big black jacket and an oversized scarf! An easy piece that instantly makes you look put together. This jumpsuit is also available in other (more boring) colours and is only £19.99.
5. ASOS
Now this I personally think is amazing and for a statement coat is actually very reasonably priced at £80. I think this would be a lovely work coat, why not brighten up the office? I also think coats like this are great conversation starters and are a piece that you will receive a lot of compliments with.
I hope you enjoyed this very yellow post! Will you be implementing yellow into your wardrobe this autumn winter?
