Uni Outfit Of The Day.

This week it has been freezing at uni, it even snowed on Saturday and it is still October!

Whilst this coat wouldn’t be practical in the snow it is lovely and warm in the cold.

My last Blog Post – One Month Roaccutane Update!

One Month Roaccutane Update!

Tomorrow I have another hospital appointment where they prescribe you your next course of medication and the dosage. I think I will probably stay on the same amount, one a day, as I am quite petite.

One month later and I have seen an improvement in my skin but obviously I am still getting whiteheads appear, mainly on my forehead and chin. Also, my skin is still textured and red, but definitely smoother all over.

In terms of side effects, I have definitely felt those. About two weeks in I noticed them, I woke up one day and I could instantly feel my lips were really dry and chapped. I now have four lip balms around me and I cannot be anywhere without one. I even had to buy another one in town when I forgot one. Another physical side effect I have is a dry scalp. In some ways though this just means I don’t have to wash my hair as often but it can be quite itchy. Lastly, for the first week or so, my skin would burn when I moisturised it but now it is fine.

My worse side effect however is definitely the emotional side. Again, I noticed this like two weeks in when I just suddenly started crying for no reason. I have days where I just feel really spaced out and sad for no reason. I have noticed it is worse when I am alone but it doesn’t happen every day.

That is all for now, I’m a bit worried my skin will get worse if they up my dosage tomorrow but hopefully in the end it will be worth it. Also, we are entering the colder months and I just know my skin and lips are going to be so dry!

A Walk In The Park- OOTD.

Instead of doing any work this weekend, me and the girls decided to do anything we could to procrastinate and get out the house. We ended up going for a walk down the river which to be fair was lovely and very autumnal with the leaves falling.

This is just a quick post about my outfit, I think duster coats are such an easy way to look put together and great for transitional weather.

Another Week At University…

Busy week!!!

Whilst this week was busy, I don’t actually think I did much work unfortunately but that shouldn’t surprise anyone.

On Tuesday night I had to go back home to Manchester to get a blood test. Thankfully, my journey wasn’t the hell it normally is due to Northern rail. I went back to university on Wednesday. Thankfully I discovered that I am able to work quite well on trains so I don’t feel like I am completely wasting my time. However, I was tired when I got back to the house and did no work for the rest of the night.

I had my first actual seminar of the year and it was just as awkward as they used to be. I didn’t say anything because I had no idea what was going on. Seminars are the bane of my life at university.

In terms of exercise, me and Ceara thought we could run up a hill behind our house and then do exercise on top of it. However, we died half way up the hill, it really didn’t look as steep as it was! Will not be doing that again!

Saturday, I was quite productive work wise during the day time. In the evening our house went out for Indian food which was lovely. Then we called at our friends house party for her 20th birthday and ended up on a bar crawl. Plus, a guy in Tesco managed to flirt with both me and Ceara at the same time and we both fell for it. I don’t know how anyone can be that smooth but I will give him the credit, very smooth.

Busy week but not much work done, I should probably start taking second year seriously!!

Today, (Sunday) will probably consist of taking Instagram pics, working (hopefully) and making he girls (Ann and Ceara) fajitas.

The Outfit With Leopard Print.

I never thought I would wear leopard print again. This may be due to the scaring memory of my eight year old self who wore bright purple,  leopard print leggings. It actually makes me cringe thinking about the horrendous outfits I put together and my mother let me leave the house! My nine year old self swore, I would never wear leopard print again, yet here I am at nineteen betraying myself.

Leopard print has been in for most of 2018 and it has taken me this long to partake in the trend. This time it is more inline with my style and I feel a little more toned down!

I think this outfit is for those cool, casual events, for example I wore mine to a bar to watch a live band. Plus concerts or house parties, I also think this would be good for.

Outfit Of The Day…Kim Possible Inspired?

I didn’t intend on this outfit to be inspired by Kim Possible or The Hunger Games but I went with it.

This outfit was for a rainy and cold day of lectures and failed library sessions. Non constricting and warm.

I have put some more pictures of this outfit and some others on my Instagram: final_thought

Check out my last post- My First Week As A Second Year At University.

My First Week As A Second Year At University.

Honestly, the first two days were shit. This wasn’t due to any particular reason, it was just overwhelming to hear about essay deadlines and the fact I have seminars every week. I’m still not feeling that motivated to do any work and it’s not because I have no work, I think the prospect of all the work I have to do this term is overwhelming.

I have had one seminar so far, in which I found out I will have to do two presentations and the people in my group had already started reading!! Why do people do reading before hand? How do they know what the topic is about?

As usual though, the non work side of uni I really enjoyed. I went out on Tuesday because I was already done with the week. On Wednesday I went to my friends house for dinner and on Thursday I went to a rugby taster session and to my surprise I actually enjoyed it. I was shocking at catching the ball but I was lifted into the air (and panicked) but it was fun.

Friday night, I think I’m going to have noodles for dinner and potentially go out, not for too late though as I have actual seminars next week where reading has to be done.

On Saturday, we are have a house party for our college kids, hopefully that will be fun and I’m sure Sunday will be a recovery day.
